"THE WALL" UNDERSTOOD INTERMEDIALLY. A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE NOVEL BY MARLEN HAUSHOFFER AND ITS TRANSFORMATION TO FILM BY JULIAN PÖLSLER.
CHLAŇOVÁ, Kamila
This work aims to compare the literary piece "Die Wand" written by Marlen Haushofer and the following film adaptation of the book created by Julian Pölsler. The theme of the work is to find out how much the film adaptation matches its literary model and how much the film as a medium converts the literary technique to the visual form. The main attention is paid to the description of the book and the film and the following summary of the differences between the book and the adaptation. The work deals not only with the analysis of the literary piece converted to the film form by Julian Pölsler, but also briefly with the meaning of the terms "intermedialität" and "anti-heimatliteratur".
